In their quest for a better solution to chaotic dismissals and pickup processes, Lindbergh’s leadership teams conducted extensive research. This included visiting other schools and attending professional learning and networking conferences like South by Southwest. Their efforts culminated in the adoption of Pikmykid. 

Given the inherent concerns about security and data with any third-party application, ensuring rigorous vetting was crucial. Automation offered the solution, with an app seen as the ideal tool. Integration, however, hinged on stringent evaluation. Fortunately, the district’s technology department has developed a checklist to rigorously asses third-party software, ensuring it complies with both district and legal data privacy standards.
