Efficient Dismissals, Communication & Safety For Red Oak School District

For three years, Principal Jane Chaillie at Inman Elementary negotiated inefficient dismissal procedures against evolving safety requirements. Managing two buildings – a K-6 school & preschool/daycare center located across town – meant navigating complex logistics to ensure students got home safely while maintaining compliance with new safety protocols. 

Before implementing Pikmykid, Inman Elementary relied on manual processes that were. time-consuming, prone to errors, and challenging for both staff & parents, not to mention Principal Chaillie herself, “I personally made car tags that I put in all the cars’ windows.”

Not surprisingly, relying on these outdated procedures to dismiss 500 students daily often felt chaotic & insecure. In fact, Principal Chaillie worried that students were left vulnerable from a safety standpoint when they lined up outside the school building for carpool pickup. 

Recognizing the clear need for a more structured, safer & technology-driven solution, Principal Chaillie began looking into new solutions, ultimately adopting Pikmykid’s Dismissal Management System in 2023.
